Full party in Planescape: Torment

Short progress report on Planescape: Torment.

The fiery dude has joined the party! I progressed to the Lower Ward in Planescape: Torment after a very pixelated and vague, but cool movie sequence. There I got instructions that I could use to sort of wake-up the fiery dude. He then agreed to join our party.

I found it best, especially when playing this game in relatively short bursts, to immediately go back and finish a quest, even when it means a bit of backtracking. Otherwise, I have forgotten what I was supposed to do when I come back to the game a few days later. There are no quest markers of course and the journal system in the game is too sparse to make an efficient playthrough. Furthermore, because I play on the PS4 sitting on the couch, I don’t make any notations, so it’s best do go back and do a thing when you get information to act on.

After letting the fiery dude sign on, I went back to the Lower Ward and after that the Cleric’s Ward and made some progress there. Even so much as to get another character to join the party, which is now up to it’s maximum strength in numbers. Now we’re getting somewhere!

Maybe I’m now strong enough to finish the quest for Many-as-One without too much dying. I think it will make me more evil. But I don’t think that matters very much because I’m already pretty evil, although I haven’t figured out yet how to find out what my alignment is. I don’t feel very evil…
