I bought another game from my wish list: Eric the Unready. It was on my wish list because it’s a game from Legend Entertainment, a developer which I already have a couple of other games of, like Spellcasting 101 and 102.
It’s a hybrid text adventure with graphics from the transition period between purely text based adventure games and point-and-click adventures. Although I’ve never played it, I would like to try it sometime.
The box looks very nice with its red sides and yellow lettering. The front has great box art, which in this version is partly covered with marketing blurb. Great patches of text that are plastered on the front. And although they look like stickers, they aren’t.
From what I can find, the original floppy release didn’t have this. Only the CD-rom re-release. And my copy isn’t even the worst one. I saw another version on eBay that’s even worse. What were they thinking!
