From Tzen, I went east (and then north), because I heard someone say that a whole town had been flattened. When I got there I saw Terra. But when I tried to leave I got wacked by a demon that was almost ten levels higher than me. So much for non-linearity for inexperienced players.
Back in Tzen, another person told me that there’s a town to the north from where ships leave. So I went there. I upgraded my gear and don’t know what else to do. Maybe I’ll go further north from here?
A few days later
Turns out I had missed Gerad (sic) in between the crowd. In my next playthrough I have to name him Gerad from the outset. I followed him and the story took me further along to his moving castle. When I had to decide where to go from there, I first went outside. But there were no landmarks nearby, so that was an indication that I wasn’t supposed to do that. Also, the monsters I encountered where a bit strong. I also noticed that the places on the map are probably numbered in chronological order. If that’s the case, then it’s easy to follow the story.
I went back inside and let the castle take me to the next town. From there we went to a cave. I “solved” a puzzle with gravestones, but didn’t manage to find it’s clue. Maybe in another playthrough. At the end of the cave we found another airship. It took us to a town, but I landed in a wrong spot and got swallowed by a sandworm. Have to try that again.
