Limited Run Games is abandoning the PS4 platform in favour of the PS5. And that’s a good thing… for my wallet. A new release is Slipstream, a Out Run inspired game, that I occasionally play on the PS4. If LRG had published a PS4 copy, I probably would have bought it. But I’m happy they didn’t. This way, my PS4 collection is slowly starting to be complete, although I might buy a lot more jRPGs in the future. And I have a LRG release on its way still. Furthermore, another LRG release just arrived, which I’ll talk about another time.

I like Slipstream, but it’s not my favourite style of racing game. I much more like to do races with laps, so I can memorise the tracks and improve my skills. These types of games feel too random. I can never anticipate how tight a corner is going to be. It’s typical of an arcade racer that tries to eat as much of your coins as it can.
