Daemonsgate is game that fits perfectly in my collection of big box RPGs. It’s not very well known, and I haven’t heard of it. It’s not in The CRPG Book and I haven’t read about it on The CRPG Addict. The subtitle reads “Volume One – Dorovan’s Key”, although I don’t believe there’s a second volume.

What makes it worth wile, is that it comes with a thick manual, a world map and a city map. But what’s really special, is the VHS tape which contains an introductory media presentation. I’m strongly inclined to go the the local thrift shop to see if I can get myself a VHS player. I’m suddenly very nostalgic towards pressing the eject button, waiting a while, and seeing the tape being ejected.
