When I was looking for an Evercade release to go with my monthly Wheel of Time book I couldn’t find any with a cheap price tag. And because I recently already had caved and ordered the Toaplan Arcade 3 from Funstock because my usual shops won’t get it back in stock, I fell for a cheap JRPG. But only because it’s a collector’s edition. It’s a game I didn’t know about, but it’s got favorable reviews and it isn’t too long. It’s Little Town Hero and it comes with some extras like an art book and a soundtrack on CD. Since the art doesn’t look very fancy, the art book isn’t very special. And the music from the soundtrack also doesn’t directly appeal to me, but maybe it will grow on me once I play the game. I booted it up and the first minutes didn’t turn me off.

What was disappointing was that it’s the German release. While I can read it, I prefer English releases. That’s the drawback of shopping online I guess. It’s nice to have a new goal for my collection (PS4 or 3DS JRPGs) that I can cheaply add to for the foreseeable future.
