Finishing Escape from Monkey Island marked the end of 6(!) years of playing through all the classic LucasArts adventure games. I started in 2019 with a first playthrough of Zak McKracken and slowly made my way through the other games.
- 2019: Zak McKracken (first time) and Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle and Grim Fandango (all three remastered versions)
- 2020: Maniac Mansion (first time) and The Secret of Monkey Island and LeChuck’s Revenge and The Dig (first time)
- 2021: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Loom, both for the first time.
- 2022: Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and Curse of Monkey Island
- 2023: Sam & Max Hit the Road (first time all the way through)
- 2024: none
- 2025: Escape From Monkey Island
My next goals about playing series of adventure games are:
- Replaying post classic LucasArts adventure games like Broken Age, Thimbleweed Park and Return to Monkey Island.
- Finishing playing through all the King’s Quest games. The last one I finished was part IV in 2022.
- Play through all the Space Quest games.
- Play through more Broken Sword games: finish the playthrough of part 2, either on Evercade or through ScummVM. See what’s 3 and 4 are about. Finish playing through 5, and play through the Reforged edition of the first game.
- and there are also the Larry games, and the Syberia games.
