Zelda, Final Fantasies and Taito

From part of the money I raised by selling a part of my Evercade collection, I bought… more games of course! I got Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster Collection and Taito Arcade 1 for the Evercade.

I loved Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Wii U and now that I have a Switch 2 I can finally play its sequel.

Ever since playing Final Fantasy VI last year, I want to play some of the earlier games in the series. And I’ve been totally hooked on the music from the games as well. Before I bought the Switch 2, I wanted this collection for the PS4. But now that I have the Switch, I figured it would make more sense to get it for that console instead. I’m not going to play a lot of Switch games in handheld mode, but these games lend themselves to that especially well. Added bonus is the music player that contain both the original and the new tracks. I might ultimately spend more time listening to these tracks than actually playing the games!

Finally, there’s Taito Arcade 1 for the Evercade. It has some great games I already know, but like to play regularly, like Space Invaders and Bubble Bobble. And there are some games I don’t know about but look great, like Chack’n Pop. Pirate Pete looks interesting. I played it as Jungle Hunt on the Commodore 64.
