WordPress alerted me that my latest post was post number 1,000 on GameroomRamblings. Wow, that’s a lot! I restarted journaling my gaming experiences in 2018 and the bulk of those one thousand posts have been made since then. Back in 2018, I added some posts from earlier attempts at blogging about tech and gaming, but a lot had been lost on crashed servers.

My original goal with the blog was to keep a journal of my gaming and also create some sort of database for my collection of games and books I read. I quickly realized that although building such a database would be fun, I’d rather spend my time playing games instead. So I opted for an existing app to manage my collections. I chose CLZ for games and kept using Goodreads for books.

In the last couple of years I’ve collected more and more games and I post regularly about pickups and managing my games collection. As my collection cannot grow much further than it currently is, new additions will probably come slower than in the last couple of years. That leaves me with more time to post about what I’m actually playing.
But if the pickups will slow down remains to be seen. Space is becoming more and more of a constraint, but there always remain some nooks and crannies that can be filled with stuff.
