The Drifter‘s ending was every bit as dramatic as I’d expected from some of the more intense moments of the game. It had the right mix of action, interaction, storytelling and drama for this part of the game. No endlessly walking back and forth, no doing multiple actions over and over again. Just perfect. My only niggle was [SPOILER]
the part where one of the characters woke up from a coma while the whole plot hinges on the attempts to prevent the coma in the first place.
[END SPOILER] This game will stay with me for quite some time I think.
I have three main places that I game: the gameroom, downstairs and mobile. In between playing The Drifter in the gameroom, I also finally started on Final Fantasy VII on the PS5 downstairs. The OG version.

The first couple of hours I wasn’t very impressed. I constantly compared it to FF VI which was the first FF game I played only a couple of years ago and the only one so far. The combat was very easy, the story very linear and the climbing and jumping sections quite tiresome. But after a while the story started gripping me and now that I’m finally out of the starting city after more than five hours(!), I’m properly hooked. Open world here I come! Let’s see if it becomes less linear and more challenging, although I hope I’m not complaining about it being to difficult in a day or two.
